NBF attorney and Salish Sea Expeditions Board Member Pegeen Mulhern is helping host Salish Sea’s breakfast “friend-raiser” on October 17, 2017. This year’s breakfast will feature keynote speakers Washington State Senator Christine Rolfes (23rd district) and Washington State Representative Gael Tarleton (36th district), who will be joined by Bob Donegan, President of Ivar’s. Also attending will be several alumni of the Salish program.
Salish Sea’s mission is to inspire youth to connect with the marine environment through boat-based scientific inquiry and hands-on learning, instilling curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking. Salish Sea Expeditions does this by offering students in grades 5-12 a unique combination of powerful place-based learning and hands-on exploration.
NBF is proud to support Salish Seas, and we hope that you may be able to join Pegeen at this breakfast fundraiser. Event details and registration can be found at https://www.salish.org/event/breakfast2017/.
