Personal Narrative

Jackson Adams joined Nicoll Black Altenbrun & Feig in 2026 as an associate in the Seattle office. His practice focuses on admiralty and maritime litigation, yacht sales and transactions, personal injury, and products liability. He represents businesses and individuals across all phases of civil litigation and transactional matters.

Jackson began his legal career at a national insurance defense firm, where he gained substantial experience representing insurers and their insureds in admiralty and maritime matters, complex liability, personal injury, premises liability, and more, in both state and federal courts. During his time there, he was recognized for his success in drafting winning federal court motions.

A fifth-generation Floridian, Jackson was born and raised on the water and has spent most of his life there. He has worked in and around the marine industry since he was young, giving him a practical command of the issues his maritime clients face. Outside the office, Jackson is an avid fisherman, equally at home fly-fishing a mountain stream or chasing billfish offshore.

Jackson played Division I football at Texas Christian University, where he earned degrees in English and Philosophy. He received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. During law school, he helped found a chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund. He frequently volunteers at local animal shelters in his spare time.
